How to deploy Jorani in Cloud

By ana.dragu

Jorani is a free proprietary management system created for small organisations. The leave and overtime request workflows are intuitive and easy to use. It is distributed under a GPL v3 license and its source code can be found on Github.

In this step by step tutorial, we are going to show you how to deploy Jorani on AWS by using Bunnyshell, the easiest tool to manage your technology stack on multiple clouds. Since it is the same interface, the commands are similar on different clouds, including Azure and Digital Ocean.

How to deploy Jorani in Cloud with Bunnyshell:

Step 1: Log in your Bunnyshell account (cloud.bunnyshell.com) and open the Dashboard.

On the left side of the page you will see the main menu where you can find environments (you can see the environment as projects in your business e.g tracking, production), package bundles (a package contains apps that are already configured and ready to use), and one-click apps (apps like Jira, WordPress and Joomla which are ready to deploy).

Step 2: Go to RESOURCES and select One Click Apps

Step 3: Here you will find a variety of apps that you can deploy on your cloud. If you can’t find the app you are looking for, you can use the search bar located on top of the apps. When you found the app you need, click on it.

Step 4: Press “Launch in Cloud” button:

Step 5: Give the app a name, and choose: the location of the server, a virtual network, and the server size.

Step 6: Once you filled in all of the data required, you can move on and look at the bottom of the page. At the Packages Secrets you will need to write the root password for Mysql. Then you will find the package requirements for Jorani. Click on Mysql to see the data required for the app. If you do not add a password one will be provided by Bunnyshell.

Step 7: For the final step, just check to see if all the info is correct and then proceed to press

Step 8: Done! You will be redirected to environment overview where you can find the environment FQDN and IP addess to access your new Jorani instance. You can see all of the disks, certificates, and secrets. It is also recommended to move the keys into Resources to make sure that you have it all in the same place.

See? It is pretty easy to deploy any of the apps we support on AWS, Azure or Digital Ocean. It doesn’t matter if you have any of these clouds or if you use all of them, the process is as quick as saying Bunnyshell!

P.S.> If you don’t have a Bunnyshell account yet, you can create one for FREE here.
